This is the newer stuff – not using any midi tracks and using more modern equipment and not the built-in mic on my laptop (hehehe).
You can mouse over the “New Albums” tab at the top or click on one of the links below.
The Paris Mixes – Mainly electronic. Some of the are shorter and they make use of a lot of sampled sounds and effects.
Housefire – A few tracks where I started getting more “house”ish between altFunk and Felicity.
Funky Funk Funk – One of the first times where I had a bunch of songs that sounded very similar in style. I actually “rented” a drummer for most of the drums on this album. Never met him and we did it all via the internet. Pretty sweet!
Felicity – Finished in 2010, this is mainly a jazz/lounge album with hip-hop drums and some bassline with keys and horns. There are some samples as well as extensive use of various synth instruments via Ableton Live.
Fall 2008 Mixes – This would be a jazz/lounge sounding album if it weren’t for the heavy use of electronic synths and electronic drums. There’s still a bit of piano in it, but it’s mostly overshadowed by upbeat drums and trancy riffs.
Dallas Trips – Road trip rap songs… read the story on the Dallas Trips page to learn more. Not to be taken seriously – just fun/funny rap songs.
Chillout – Chillout music (duh). It’s basically relaxed, slow techno. Heavy use of trancy synths and pulsating bass. There’s a lot of tracks to be had too – 22 at that.
altFUNK – This has a very modern alternative sound to it. The drums are raw and unpolished and are triggered samples through a Korg pad (but sound very realistic). There are some other samples in the music but there’s a lot of my ESP guitar and Squire bass. Keys are different Rhodes plugins put through different filters.
