Nvidia Geforce 9800 GTX

Newegg is officially carrying the Nvidia Geforce 9800 GTX. They have a variety of flavors all for $329. The Pro’s? The thing’s a sheer beast. You can 3-way SLI it and get some serious benchmark scores.
What’re the cons? Well besides the $329 price tag, the wattage required to power these things is outrageous. To run then in SLI mode they recommend no less than 550 watts. With dual-SLI you’re promised 2x the performance that you gain from just a single card, however adding a third to this configuration only promises to increase performance 2.8 times from a single card…not a whole lot of bang for your buck there.
In more or less words, Crysis: Yes. Doom: Yes. Overlords: Welcome. Will blend: Yes. Wtfpwnnoobs: Most definately.
