The Facebook Lexicon

Not sure how long it’s been available, but I came across the Facebook Lexicon today. It basically takes the frequency of words on people’s facebook walls and displays them on a graph. For comparison’s sake you can plug in multiple words separated by a comma to see how they stack up. For instance, I plugged in Rant and Rave and as you can see Rave clearly dominated (probably has something to do with the whole techno scene).
I did a few more like Christmas for instance spikes just before the new year and summer starts to steady climb after February. Not sure of the complete reliability of this (I’d have to see the source code before I bet my life on it) but it’s a lot of fun to play with!
This inspired me to see how what the frequency of the words “cock” and “balls” are. Balls comes in with a staggering win.

haha well in alternate meanings one has to do with sports and the other a rooster…I’m guessing roosters aren’t talked about as much as sports 😉
